Sustainable Marine Technologies (SMT), the innovative company creating practical engineering solutions for the marine renewable energy industry, has become a corporate member of RenewableUK.
The move is another step forward for the young and dynamic integration engineering consultancy which has experienced strong growth since its formation in 2008.
Today SMT is working with a number of major players such as Voith Hydro and is involved in deployment and vessel design projects as far apart as Korea, Scotland and Africa.

WIND PROSPECT SAS ACQUIRES STAKE IN FRENCHWIND FARM
Wind Prospect (France) has completed the acquisition of a 10% stake in SEM Energies Renouvelables (SEMER) including part-ownership of a 12MW wind farm near Issoudun in Central France. The deal has been concluded by Wind Prospect’s Paris office and includes an agreement for the company to handle the commercial and technical management of the wind assets of the acquired ‘Les Tilleuls’ wind farm.

The purchase of the stake in SEMER is new territory for Wind Prospect which in France specialises in the provision of advisory and due diligence services. Wind Prospect is no stranger to Les Tilleuls having been responsible for auditing and commissioning the wind farm, alongside 3 others on behalf of Allianz for almost a year.
On concluding the acquisition of the stake in SEMER, Barthélémy Rouer, Directeur Général for Wind Prospect SAS said: “We strongly believe that this investment consolidates our presence in France.We have added 12 MWto our Operations portfolio, as well as considerably strengthening our Advisory position.
“This shows thatWind Prospect has the confidence to put its own money behind the advice and support it provides to developers, banks and financiers.”
During the acquisition of the transaction, Wind Prospect’s in-house teams handled due diligence, sale purchase agreements, contract negotiation and financial management. SEMER is also aiming at investing into more projects, including solar power – an area in which Wind Prospect is making great in-roads.
