Gold Panda

PANDA + BANJO OR FREAKOUT Hailing from Chelmsford in Essex, but a resident of East London for some time now, Gold Panda started writing beats and collaborating a few years ago, working with the likes of Infinite Livez and Shuttle (both Ninja Tune) as well as creating his own material. What does Gold Panda sound like? One writer claimed that “He intuitively mixes lop-sided, chopped up hip-hop style beats with a gorgeously refined, melodic techno sensibility, creating a fresh cross-genre sound that’s distinct and accomplished.”

BABYHEAD + SUPPORT Born out of love for Jamaican sound-clash, forged through a do-it-yourself punk rock ethic and delivered with a raw hip-hop swagger, the unstoppable Babyhead sound is drawn from all quarters of the musical universe – in true Bristol fashion. They have been a live phenomenon in the clubs and on the festival circuit for a decade plus, rocking stages from Glastonbury to Fabric and attracting onstage collaborations from Ozomatli, Rodney P, Alice Russell, scores of children, transvestites and a three-legged one-eyed dog.
