Locking Connector for Vibration Resistance from Yamaichi
Munich, Germany — A new model in the Y-Con® line of industrial RJ45 con- nectors from Yamaichi Electron ics provides an IP20 locking for the
CAT6A version of the series, named Y- ConProfix. The plug and jack are both available. It has a stainless steel lock- ing mechanism which can be easily assembled without using tools. Both clips in the IP20 lock plug
engage without force when plugged into the mounted holding frame of the jack, which is attached to the housing of the application. The interlock in the holding
frame prevents mechanical strain on the plug connection, protecting it from damage and unintentional release. This provides reliable strain relief and helps avoid damage. The locking mechanism is suit-
Nanotec: Easy Programming with Plug &
Drive Studio Feldkirchen, Germany — Nanotec, a manufacturer of motors and con- trollers, has released new software for easy setup and programming of its motor controllers. Plug & Drive Studio allows the controller to be accessed from a PC by a variety of methods including CANopen, Ethernet and Modbus. To set up, the object directory
holding the controller configuration can be read, written and organized in a table. Predefined filters are applied to display only currently relevant objects. The objects can also be config- ured in an integrated command line.
ed for use while under strong vibra- tion and in applications with tough requirements for mechanical safety
and reliable holding forces. The housing frame is available in single, double, quadruple, and
upon request, octuple versions. Each can combine with the new IP20 lock for the Profix plug, or with the exist- ing plastic IP20 lock. As an option, all RJ45 plug and jack versions suit- able for the IP20 lock can be provid- ed with contacts integrated for a

The entire communication can be
recorded and played back, making it possible to enter lengthy command sequences only one time during setup. To tune the controller parameters, an integrated oscilloscope can simultane- ously display any eight objects with a resolution of up to 1ms. To program the controller with
NanoJ V2, an integrated development environment is available consisting of a source text editor with automatic code addition, a compiler and debug- ger. Since all of the studio’s functions can be used at the same time, con- troller behavior can be tracked during program execution using the object directory and oscilloscope. As a result, customer-specific functions can be eas-
ily and quickly programmed. Contact: Nanotec Electronics US, Inc., 38 Montvale Avenue,
