Omron Intros Power Supplies for Harsh Environments
Hoffman Estates, IL — Omron Electronics has introduced its S8VK-G series of compact, single- phase power supplies. The supplies are Class I Division 2 rated and
are designed as a space-saving alternative for pan- els used in oil and gas extraction, grain handling, and other potentially explosive, hazardous environ- ments.
The series operates stably over a temperature
range of –40 to +70°C, for both enclosed outdoor use, and general industrial control applications. When used in inductive load applications, a momentary power boost of 120 percent of its rated current can increase its effectiveness. Built-in overload and over-voltage protection also help ensure its stability. All sizes of supplies use gravity
