“After 20 years of being a beauty therapist, I decided to research into semi-permanent make-up. I came across various courses available but Andrew’s one-to-one training stood out above all. Andrew offers you the opportunity to take part in a ‘preliminary trial lesson’ which allowed me to see if I had a potential career in semi-permanent make-up. Andrew has a natural flair and a meticulous approach to all aspects of his work. As a trainer he has a very firm but fair approach. He has a reputation to uphold and will only take on someone that he feels will maintain the very high standards that he sets himself. I remember Andrew being horrified when I suggested that I go home and just practice on my Nan, before treating someone younger. “What! “ he retorted. “Your Nan is as important as any other client young or old. I cannot believe you just said that!”. I realised straight away how important his clients were to him compared to other practitioners I have encountered and everybody is equal no matter their disposition.

Elderly residents enjoy a little pampering

Guild Press were delighted to assistVictoria Court Residential Home in Ilkeston, Derbyshire when they held a pamper evening for elderly residents.

With the help of Guild Press’SeniorAccountManager Shaun Peaty, the home received a variety of nail products which staff at the home gifted to the residents so they could enjoy a special treat.

“We were delighted to helpVictoria Court; as amagazine we are lucky enough to receivemany samples of products throughout the year, which we are very grateful to receive, but once we have ‘tried and tested’ themit seems only fair to share themwith others who are not able to visit salons to enjoy a regularmanicure or pedicure,” says GN editorMelissa Dennis.

As part of the pamper evening,Victoria Court also held a raffle to raise funds for the residents’ amenity fund which is used for special treats and trips out for the residents.

“I have no regrets in choosing Andrew. As well as a trainer, I was able to build a rapport with him and I now see him as a friend as well as a one of the most prestigious leaders in semi-permanent make-up. Even after the training, he is always there for me and will always be at the end of the phone if needed. His on-going support following the training has been second to none and I have been qualified for over a year now and I have just completed another advanced training course with Smudge-free. I love my work and I love the rewards it brings. I will never forget this experience and I will never look back. Thank you Andrew, you have changed my life.”

Regards, Kim Christina Gray, Buckhurst Hill, Essex
