Spas are now proving to be a popular location for female bonding time. Girl power
SpafinderWellness 365™recently released the findings of their 2013 ‘State of SpaTravel’ report, designed to provide annual insight into emerging consumer trends in the NorthAmerican Spa travelmarket.
According to the study, travel agents reported growth of 73%in bookings to hotel, resort and destination Spas during the course of 2013. In addition, there was increased demand for locations off the beaten track; with travellers seeking immersion inmore exotic and unique, indigenous cultural experiences as opposed to ‘generic luxury’
destinations.The survey also shed light on the evolving Spa traveller demographic, revealing that ‘women travelling with other women’ now represented the number one way people now journey to Spas.
