About Akshay Jaitly

Akshay Jaitly is a partner in Trilegal’s Delhi office and heads the firm’s energy and infrastructure practice. He has over 18 years of experience in advising on projects in a

variety of sectors, including power, oil and gas, transport (roads, airports and metro rail), water and waste.

Akshay also has long-term international experience, having worked with the London and Tokyo offices of a major London-based firm for a number of years, combined with deep experience of law and practice in the Indian market. He regularly advises several of the largest international and Indian companies active in India’s energy and infrastructure

sector, and he also an active contributor to the policy debate on infrastructure and energy issues, particularly in the area of renewable energy.

His clients include AES, China Light & Power, Tata Power, Mitsui, BG India, Torrent Power, Cairn Energy, Autostrade, Balfour Beatty,

International Finance

Corporation, Asian Development Bank, OPIC, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Blackstone and Sithe Energy.
