FAMTASTIC! Bustling Vietnam
TRAVEL INDOCHINA HOSTED A GROUP OF EIGHT UK TRAVEL AGENTS ON A VIETNAM HIGHLIGHTS FAM. THE AGENTS WON THEIR PLACES THROUGH THE SPECIALIST TOUR OPERATOR'S 'WIN AND EARN' INCENTIVE
T
he fam was supported by Vietnam Airlines and designed to educate agents
on Travel Indochina’s small-group style of travel and using both Western tour leaders and local English-speaking guides. The group started in bustling Ho Chi Minh, visiting the War Remnants Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral. They also got to experience the Mekong Delta on a day trip, sampled rice wine with the locals and navigated the canals on sampan boats. Next up was UNESCO World Heritage
town Hoi An, to learn about the lives of the local fishermen on a family-run, interactive tour through the little- visited Water Coconut Palm Canal. The agents ended their trip with a
stay in Hanoi and an overnight cruise on a converted junk boat, amongst the limestone peaks of Halong Bay. Stops were made to explore fascinating caves and visit a floating fishing village. The group stayed at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hotel, a five-star
property in the city's beautiful French Quarter. They visited top city sights such as the Temple of Literature and the Ho Chi Minh Quarter, which examines the life of the communist leader.

“Firstly, a BIG thank you for such an amazing fam. The preparation and thought that went into the planning must have taken ages and the whole trip was so efficiently organised. I am so impressed with Travel Indochina as a company.” Linda White, CAS Travel
