UNIVERSAL Studios has opened TRANSFORMERS: The Ride – 3D at its Orlando, Florida, theme park. Based on the popular TRANSFORMERS

films, it blends a storyline, technology, ‘hyper-real’ animation and huge sets into an action-adventure for riders 'who are recruited for a good versus evil battle in which they must save Planet Earth'. Visitors to the park join iconic film Optimus Prime

characters and the

Autobots as they fight Megatron and the Decepticons in a battle to the end. The 3D-action is state of the art while

the 4K high-definition animation is described as 'gaspingly real'. Riders burst into battles between ‘life-sized,’ three- storey-tall Autobots and Decepticons. They

dodge relentless attacks,

explosions and missiles before coming face-to-face with Megatron – who is out to destroy them. The attraction, already enjoying star billing at Universal Studios Singapore and Universal Studios Hollywood, was built at Universal Studios Florida in just one year – the fastest new-build time in Universal's history. universalorlando.co.uk
