6 months – particularly from the Asia region. “Our BetBOX Bet Management System and EPOS allows any operator to add virtual sports to their venue(s). We can provide the means to take bets over the counter, the accounting backend and the high-quality virtual sports graphics – rendered in real time so that every race is different. Casino operators both with and without live sportsbooks have been particularly interested in this turnkey solution that allows a new virtual event to bet on every three minutes, 24/7. “Of course, casino operators can also take
our award-winning virtual sports as part of our Sabre Synchro product. This unique Electronic Table Gaming (ETG) product allows players to bet on different electronic table games including roulette (live, auto or virtual wheels) and virtual horses at the same time. By utilizing Sabre’s panoramic 26-inch widescreen the changes back and forth between different games can be done swiftly from the same screen without going back to the menu screen to select a different game. This new-generation of Sabre has been specifically designed to multiply player engagement, betting options and revenue.”
video software supports high-grade video- centric visuals that include 3D effects to deliver entertaining and seamless gaming content. “Those six games can also be played with standalone progressives over the top, including Quick Strike and Rapid Hit Fever, both standalone progressives designed to be hit frequently to keep players engaged in the mystery bonus,” explains Walther.

deems inefficient. If a player arrives at a table with a “brick” of
cash, staff lay out the notes on the table, check its authenticity with a wand waved over the funds, then a manual count takes place. Accepted notes are slot into a piggy bank-like box atop tables. The process takes 90 seconds to three minutes. In contrast, the iV8 has automated the procedure with better authentication security, accuracy and most of all, speed. The machine can handle 200 notes; a stack of 40 bills gets processed in seconds. “Dead time is turned into playtime,” he says. “If you can turn 90-seconds into twenty seconds in the course of the shift, over the course of the day, casinos can buy back more play.” Operators can raise more money at the same table without extra overhead or labour costs, he adds. Not surprisingly, the company sees the product as the catalyst that speeds up game play in Asia.

stage at JCM Global’s booth at G2E Asia 2013, for good reason: Asia, particularly Macau, is a predominantly table-game market that handles large volumes of cash, so the latest solution by the reputed currency processing systems provider is an ideal fit for this region, says Tom Nieman, vice president of global marketing. The executive thinks Asia, as a major force in the table gaming market, should to be more technologically advanced in the field however, manual practices of money count and authentication are still prevalent, a practice he

[casino] world,” says Steve T. Walther, director of games product management of Konami Gaming Inc, a subsidiary of Japanese gaming giant Konami. In any sector it’s a matter of developing your industry centres, he says, and this jurisdiction has become the focal point since other markets such as America, Australia and Europe are still struggling from the economic downturn. It’s no surprise that the Las Vegas-based company has shifted its focus to this side of the continent – for example, the organisation has recently opened a Singapore branch office. “With the volume of business coming out of here, this is the time to jump in and focus on this region and Konami has the skills and products to capture that volume.” After evaluating the industry in various jurisdictions, combined with research gathered from customer feedback as the Konami team toured several areas within the region, the games maker conceived a catalogue of new products specifically for the Asian gambler. Highlights include six slot titles that made its
first public appearance at G2E Asia 2013. Pride of Egypt, Dynasty Riches, Fan-tastic Gold, Lion Festival, China Mystery and Legion Warrior, are all powered by Konami’s KP3 platform. The new
Speed and reliability are two of the most
important characteristics casino operators look for in a cash or coupon validating system, qualities the new machine from Pennsylvania- based MEI has incorporated in spades. The SC Advance bill acceptor for slots is a
much-enhanced edition of the earlier Cashflow SC – essentially it’s quicker at 2.3 seconds note-to-note rate compared to 3 seconds previously. With expanded memory, the capacity of processing cash has broadened as well. According to Graham Lewis, senior director at MEI, the previous machine supported around 70 bank notes, whereas the SC Advance can now handle 100 banknotes. Other enhancements include a more
intelligent recognition system that has bolstered the product’s security and acceptance features. Engineered with a more proficient sensor technology, the device employs a more comprehensive four-way barcode reading instead of the two barcode reading in the previous edition. “Everyone is obsessed with the latest machine but introducing it tends to upset the casino floor,” says Lewis. MEI didn’t radically tinker the product too much to ensure operators with an existing SC product range can upgrade to the latest edition with minimal transitional cost and effort. All it takes is changing the acceptor head of the device from the old to the new, he says. Lewis adds that the latest machine is backwards compatible [with Cashflow SC].
TCSJH: Reinventing the Classics Asian motifs were at every turn at G2E Asia with countless stands emblazoned with dragons and coin symbols, rich in gold, red and silver colour palette (shades associated with good luck and fortune amongst the Chinese). TCSJohnHuxley was no exception but the latest concepts launched by the London-based games-maker go far beyond aesthetics. The new games have incorporated simple yet
intelligent tweaks to the traditional format, including the Dragon Roulette with a new side bet. Thanks to the supplier’s latest Double Action Roulette technology, the table has a wheel with two independently spinning tracks fused into one platform. This allows room for
