earlier G4 and latest G4D Diamond stems from the architecture. The multi-player stations were not flexible arrangements in the previous edition. If an operator wants to add more player stations to the platform in future, the option to reconfigure the device was not available. That is until the G4D edition arrived in a modular format. “The joints in-between each player’s station are made in a special way so you can add or take away as much as you want,” explains Tina Ferko, the head of marketing at Interblock. The range has new game features too,

notably from added side bets. The Big3Six game’s three spinning wheels play a part in the latest slot-machine themed side bet. Meanwhile the G4D Routlette has incorporated a complicated football-themed side bet, where players are given three spins and the results of the wheel determine how many metres the football players move across the field. The final position of the ball determines your paying odds- a goal scored, for example, translate to 500:1. These products are in the process of being approved for the Asian market.

our main focuses right now as we are doing very well in the Philippines, South Korea and Macau,” reveals Max Lindenberg, director of marketing and business development. He adds that the company is confident with the new products and hopes to gain a certain footprint in the market very quickly. Featured prominently at the booth were rows of the Dominator slots, the latest cabinet from the company, which made its first appearance in Asia at the three-day event. The visual enhancements were in full display: LED lighting as well as seamless graphics channeled from a trio of 24-inch screens plus an 18.5 inch topper. Novo Line Interactive games were shown

through the cabinet, plus new two jackpot systems – card-themed mystery progressive Magic Joker Jackpot plus community jackpot Amazeland. More creative tweaks to classic concepts were

introduced elsewhere, notably the Pinball Roulette, a fusion of the two games. The company expects this single-player device to be a hit in Asia. “It is the one and only game that makes the player a croupier at the same time,” says Lindenberg. The player places the bets as usual on the roulette, but the gamer can throw in the ball by himself through the pinball mechanism on the right side of the machine. “This gives the player the feeling of being the dealer, leaving the impression that the gamer can influence the game, but of course it’s still a hundred percent random.”

At G2E Asia, the company showed progressive versions of Crazy 4 Poker, Mississippi Stud, and Big Raise Stud Poker, all running on their proprietary Nexus Command hardware. This combines an intuitive dealer interface with electronic chip sensors embedded in the table to allow players to place an optional jackpot wager in order to potentially win fixed prizes or a continuously incrementing progressive jackpot.

new shuffling technique reduces wear and tear on the cards, as well as cutting down on shuffler maintenance. Making its debut at G2E Asia was SHFL’s

TableMaster, an e-Table innovation which features a high definition display, widescreen player terminals with touchscreen betting, multiple concurrent side bets, and a modern, clean design.

slots, that may yet change. Asian-themed slot link Duo Fu Duo Cai was the highlight of their slot display at G2E Asia. It delivers a unique “All Up” Chinese-themed game style where all lines are always in play, even at a minimum bet of one credit. As players buy more gold symbols, they access a higher-paying scorecard and more opportunities to win progressive jackpot prizes. One of Duo Fu Duo Cai’s most popular titles, 88 Fortunes, is a 4-level link progressive that is loaded with entertaining game components such as stacked symbols, the ability to offer players 10 free games, and a linked jackpot feature.

WMS: A busy event At the G2E Asia 2013, few booths were as

busy as the space occupied by WMS Gaming; the main attraction were the slots boasting imaginative gaming content in devices that include vibrating chairs, cinema-grade sound and top-notch visuals. New themes include the Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory - once the bonus round is triggered, the game based on the 1971 film begins, with a multi-sensory input akin to a theme park ride! In a similar vein is the new Spiderman game that delivers multi-sensory entertainment atop the slot experience. Powered by the company’s CPU-NXT3 operating system, the software is behind the real-time 3D visuals and multiple layers of videos running simultaneously. Combined with the “Blade” cabinet

yielding high- definition displays and “halo”-style lighting, what results are visual and action- orientated experiences. Larry Pacey, executive vice president of
