Cyclescheme’s charity commute from Bath-to-Tring


ON AN uncharacteristically warm summer’s day in May, a group of riders took on a special 100-mile commute starting from Cyclescheme HQ in Bath at 6am. Ten hours later the riders arrived at Cyclescheme parent company Grass Roots Group HQ in Tring, having raised an impressive £4,052 for charity – a sum that will provide over 200 hours of nursing care for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Cyclescheme head of commercial operations Daniel Gillborn said: “Our second Bath-to-Tring charity ride was a great success. It seems to have gained momentum year-on-year and I hope this continues as our key fund raising day for Cyclescheme.” Cyclescheme director Richard Grigsby added: “It’s very impressive to hear of people riding more than twice as far as they have done before – and still being able to speak and stand afterwards.
