Freestyle brand Tempered now in stock with distributor  Barcelona’s Hood Bikes now available to UK retail  WAW Associates gains exclusive deal with folding bike label Swift for the UK and Europe

SCOOP AND TEMPERED BMX freestyle and race specialist Scoop Distribution is to take on Australian brand Tempered, with stock arriving as soon as mid-June.


Scoop MD Mason Smith told BikeBiz:


“We are proud to announce that Scoop will be the official distributor for the UK Tempered Bikes. If you’re not familiar with Tempered, they have been around for the last few years based down under in Australia, run by Mat Lawton. Frames and bars are super high quality and are set apart with their image and marketing on products like the cross bones stem and Anchor sprocket.”


Scoop is looking to take on a few riders

HOOD BIKES VIA AGENT


The Hood Bikes line is to come to the UK, under the guidance of Mike Fisher, who


will handle sales and marketing for the Barcelona-designed urban brand. Fisher told BikeBiz: “I am responsible for the .com and the .co.uk account for hood bikes and we are targeting wholesalers and retailers in the UK. SWIFT FOLDING BIKES AND WAW ASSOCIATES WAW Associates has been appointed exclusive importer of American Xootr Swift folding bikes for UK and Europe. WAW had been searching for a suitable


folding bike for conversion to electric, using WAW Associates’ conv-e conversion kit. Swift Folder designer Peter Reich was


contacted in Pennsylvania and after extensive talks WAW Associates was awarded exclusive territory rights. The standard Swift Folder in eight-


speed version will be available through appointed distributors and IBDs from July 2012. The Swift Folder being redesigned for electric adaptation is expected in early Spring 2013. sales@swiftfolders.co.uk
