Nursery Times at Toy Fair
The UK’s only dedicated toy, games and hobby trade exhibition will once again return to London’s Olympia on 24-26 January 2012 to kick start the year for nursery buyers and retailers. Organised by the British Toy and Hobby association, the three day event is a fantastic opportunity for nursery retailers to discover an array of exciting products.
Toy Fair welcomes over 200 companies including big brands such as Bandai, Character Options, Golden Bear, Hasbro, Lego, Tomy, Flair, Vivid and many more. Thirty-five exhibitors are brand new to the floor plan, 14 companies return after time away and nursery exhibitors Aurora World, BigJig Toys and Worlds Apart are taking bigger stands for 2012. Aurora World is launching a brand new range of nursery products called Snuggles; BigJig Toys will showcase the brightly themed four piece My First Matching puzzle and Worlds Apart will launch the ReadyCot, the lightweight pop up travel cot. The Greenhouse Area plays host to over 30 exciting and colourful start ups. Over the years, the Greenhouse Area has acted as a launch pad into the industry. Mumbo Jumbo Toys exhibited in the Greenhouse area in 2011 unveiling new nursery products and is making the move to the main show floor for 2012 to launch British brand Skipper's new Ride n Rolls. Other exhibitors launching nursery products in the Greenhouse Area include Commotion Group, Eleventyone and Maxim.

Toy Awards. Now in its fourth year, the Toy Fair Best New Toys are the hottest toy launches in the halls as voted for by an independent panel of retailers. 2011 winners in the infant and pre-school category included Golden Bear’s Ben and Holly’s Magic Wand, Hasbro’s Busy Ball Popper, Leapfrog’s Tune up Speedy and Playmobil’s Noah’s Ark. This year promises to be equally as strong. Retailers pre-registering for the event will not only save the £15 entry fee on the door, but they will be privy to various exclusive retail offers – from discounts, to complimentary marketing accessories.
