Inspired luminaire sourcing
Digi-Key has expanded its solid state lighting product base via a global distribution agreement with Intematix, a specialist in remote phosphor components for high-quality LED lighting. The company's ChromaLit products, for example, are said to enhance efficacy and smooth radiation patterns.
Compared to conventional LED designs,
where blue chips are coated with a phosphor compound, the ChromaLit collection uses a phosphor composite separated fromthe blue LED energy source. This promotes design freedom, enhancesmanufacturing efficiency, boosts light quality and can offer up to 30 per cent higher systemefficacy.
Director ofmarketing at Intematix Julian
Carey, said: “The ChromaLit remote phosphor product family, coupled with the blue LEDs, drivers and other components that Digi-Key offers, provides luminaire designers andmanufacturers with rapid access to innovative solutions.”
