DSEI Preview Keep cool under pressure
components such as evaporators, condensers and compressors duringmaintenance.
Stäubli also provides a range of hydraulic
couplings with flat faced technology preventing disconnection spillage and debris ingress. The range has been extended to cover low pressure hydraulic applications up to 150 bar, complementing the rest of the range which includes connectors for high pressure, high vibration and critical vehicle systems.
For applications with high power
Stäubli is to present various solutions now being used in the defence sector, as well as introducing several new products, designed for secure and reliable connection of fluids, gases and electrics.
In harsh operating environments, air
conditioning is an essential part of any vehicle. Stäubli’s connectors for refrigerant gases enablemaintenance to be carried out without the need to drain refrigerant. Users canmakemultiple connections under full systemand residual pressure without loss and connectors are typically used to remove
electronics there is a trend towards the use of liquid cooling techniques. Conventional quick release connectors can be bulky, heavy and difficult to use, but Stäubli connectors are designed to provide high integrity leak free, spill free fluid connections for demanding defence applications.
Other solutions on show include:
integrated power pack connection solutions, connectors for high power density aerospace applications and connectors for combined fluid and electric solutions.

Switching advances
Planned as the next generation of military capable human/machine interfaces (HMI), the latestWasp touchscreen enables sophisticated graphics in addition to performing basic functions. It can be adapted to almost any application, having been tested to meet all primary requirements ofmilitary equipment in terms of ruggedness, reliability and battlefield performance.
Users of the touchscreen can
programme specific actions, which can be activated by push buttonsmounted in the screen surround. This provides users with ‘hot’ switches, without interrupting the screen’s imagery. All actions can be carried out by a gloved hand.
In addition to the new screens,Wasp
will also display rotary switches and silicon keypads currently in use by the military.
