Push-pull locking improves BNC performance
New fromQuadrant Connections, the latest Damar and Hagen connectors are plug-compatible with common BNC sockets and feature a fast and secure push-pull locking system.
Ideal for use with the latest HDTV
technology, BNC-PP and BNC/DS-PP RF connectors are said to overcome issues related to standard BNC RF connectors with a bayonet coupling, which can be problematic when connected frequently or where access is difficult.
BNC-PP connectors are available in 50 and 75ohmversions and are intended for analogue signal
transmissionwhile BNC/DS-PP 75ohmconnectors are intended for digital serial signal transmission. Connectors in the range feature gold-plating on both the inner and outer conductor, improving
high frequency properties and decreasing contact resistance due to reduced corrosion. In addition, the contact pressure of the connector's outer conductor is increased using contact tongues under- laid with a spring washer. This improves operational characteristics in high vibration and shock conditions such as outside broadcast vehicles.
BNC-PP and BNC/DS-PP RF connectors are available with cable connectors in both crimp and
solder versions to terminate cable sizes fromtwo to 11mmin diameter.
