Cool Flow™ Exhalation Valve

Cake-Resistant Filter Media

Advanced Electret Media

Welding Approved Respirators offer unique protective layers that are designed to be flame-resistant as demonstrated per ASTM D2859-96. When choosing a Welding Approved Respirator, consider the following features:

• 3M™ Cool Flow™ Exhalation Valve – A patented one-way valve for easy exhalation and cool, dry comfort.

• Conformable Noseclip – Standard (S) or M-Noseclip (M) adjusts easily for fewer pressure points.

• Faceseal – Soft and secure, conforms closely to face for long-lasting comfort and protection.

• Fully Adjustable Straps – A single tug helps provide a secure fit.

• Advanced Electret Media – Advanced electrostatically-charged microfibers make breathing easier and cooler.

• Odor-Removing Filter Material – Carbon layers remove many nuisance level odors. Models labeled (OV) filter Organic Vapors, while models labeled (AG) filter Acid Gases.

• Cake-Resistant Filter Media – Specially designed filter layers provide longer respirator life and easier breathing.

Welding Approved Respirators

The use of N-Series Respirators is typically limited only by hygiene, damage and increased breathing resistance. However, when working in very dirty or dusty workplaces that may result in high filter loading (200 mg), service time should be limited to 8 hours of continuous or intermittent use, unless an evaluation is done to prove that extended use will not significantly degrade efficiency levels.

The use of P-Series Respirators is limited only by hygiene, damage and increased breathing resistance.
