Earmuffs HEARING PROTECTION Peltor™ X Series Earmuffs
In the addition to simplicity-of-use and ease-of-identification, the X Series sets a new standard in design, comfort and protection. The ear cups tilt for optimum comfort and efficiency. Over-The-Head models feature a dielectric wire headband that offers comfortable pressure during prolonged usage. Cap Mounted models feature a stainless steel band with universal mounting attachment that fits most hard hats. Hygiene Kits contain one pair of replacement ear cushions and one pair of foam inserts.
• X1 Earmuffs offer protection against light industry noise, lawn mowing, power drilling, etc. The slim-line ear cups produce good attenuation that meets the needs of most industrial applications.
• X2 Earmuffs are ideal for protection against low-to-moderate noise levels, including many industrial applications, roadwork, construction, etc. X2 Earmuffs offer the same features as the X1 version, plus increased attenuation.
• X3 Earmuffs are designed for protection against high-level industrial noise in the forestry industry, airports, heavy engineer- ing, etc. A newly-designed spacer improves attenuation, without a double cup design; thus increasing the space inside the cup for greater fit and comfort. The X3 is extremely lightweight and compact, compared with similar attenuation products.
• X4 Earmuffs protect against moderate-to-heavy industrial noise. The extremely slim and lightweight ear cups provide excellent compatibility when used with other personal protection products. A newly-designed spacer improves attenuation, without a

double cup design. The specially-formulated damping pads combine with the innovative foam contained in the sealing ring to provide excellent acoustic protection, particularly against sounds dominated by low frequencies.
• X5 Earmuffs should be used in extremely high noise environments which often requires double protection – mining, quarrying, paper mills, gas turbines, etc. The X5 achieves exceptionally high performance, without resorting to double protection, such as earmuffs and plugs together. The unique attenuation is a result of the specially-formulated foam technology featured in the cups and sealing rings, combined with the spacer and cup design. Despite the larger ear cups, the product is lightweight, balanced and comfortable.
