Are they in opposition, or merely hidden in the veil of misunderstanding?

BY: GEORGE STUBBLEFIELD, DEAN OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCES

odern Science states that our universe cannot sustain itself, that it is dependent on something outside of itself, and that our universe had a beginning. It also states that our universe and natural laws are extremely finely tuned and if that tuning was off by one second, life as we know it would eventually cease to exist. Science, which is defined

as knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts

learned through

experiments and observation, when left on its own, will always line up with the truth. When people are influencing science for a specific result, the efficacy of that truth is significantly diminished. When we try to separate truth from individualized agendas in science, we find significant resistance due to special interests. Thereby, altering,

diluting, or in some cases, ignoring scientific findings, because they do not correspond with their anticipated goals. One, of the many examples of this truth versus agenda is

cells (pluripotent cells) or fetal tissue are viable to create new specific cell growth. In reality, adult stem cells (from a mother’s placenta or afterbirth components, etc.) have demonstrated significant pluripotent cell activities that have created hundreds of cures for multiple conditions. Francis Bacon, considered the father

of the “Scientific Method” (see definition above), which is the process utilized today by every respectable scientist in all of their experimentation and research procedures, stated “If you specifically pursue truth, all truth will lead you to God.” He based this statement on his unfailing belief that all science is merely a reflection of what God

the notion that only embryonic stem

has created, and yet, today most scientists who delve into any research or investigation utilizes the “Scientific Method” as their modus operandi, without any consideration for the possibility of biblical influence. Many times, Christians themselves seem

to believe there is no relationship between science and biblical truth. However, throughout history, science and biblical truth have demonstrated a correlation of discovery and contribution which are reflected in most everything we experience today. This reflection is based on individuals who have had significant biblical understanding in direct relationship with their scientific investigations. If fact in many cases, the Bible has been the instigating revelation that precedes the scientific discovery. Modern science was initiated in the

16th and 17th centuries. During this time, these events were known as the “scientific
