The purpose of athlete UHSUHVHQWDWLRQ LQ 1*% JRY ernance is to ensure better FRPPXQLFDWLRQ EHWZHHQ WKH 1*% DQG WKHLU DWKOHWHV 7R WKDW HQG 1*%V DUH JHQHUDO ly required to have athletes ZKR DUH DFWLYHO\ HQJDJHG LQ amateur athletic competi- WLRQ PDNH XS WZHQW\ SHUFHQW of their boards of directors, H[HFXWLYH ERDUGV JRYHUQLQJ boards, and certain commit- tees.

the recent governance re- forms adopted by the USA Shooting Board of Directors include the formation of a number of important com- mittees – a Finance and Compensation Committee, Audit Committee, Nominat- LQJ DQG *RYHUQDQFH &RP PLWWHH (WKLFV &RPPLWWHH Judicial Committee, and Ath- letes’ Advisory Committee. 7KH QHZ E\ODZV DOVR VSH FLÀ FDOO\ SURYLGH WKDW DWKOHWH representatives shall equal DW OHDVW WZHQW\ SHUFHQW RI the membership of all USAS committees.
