Prudential sponsors app to help HQKDQFH ¿ JXUH VNDWLQJ IDQ H[SHULHQFH Icenetwork, a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Figure Skating, an-

nounced in January the release of the icenetwork app, now available for free download from the iTunes App store. The app, sponsored by Prudential and developed by POSSIBLE Mobile, features access to fi g- ure skating news, Skate Radio, television broadcast schedules, event results and Twitter conversations. The app, for iPhones running iOS 10, was created to engage fi g-

ure skating fans and enhance their icenetwork experience while on the go. Special features include the ability to view current broad- cast schedules across NBC Universal’s family of networks and set alerts to be notifi ed before the start of each event, ensuring that fans never miss a moment of televised skating. Users can also set alerts for upcoming Skate Radio broadcasts that, until the re- lease of the icenetwork app, were reserved for those attending the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. “We’re excited to launch this app and make icenetwork

and the sport of fi gure skating more accessible to our passion- ate fans,” Ramsey Baker, general manager of icenetwork, said. “Skate Radio is always such a popular in-arena experience for fans at our events, and we’re thrilled to now off er the insight and behind-the-scenes access it provides to anyone with an iPhone. With the support of Prudential and their commitment to fi gure skating helping to build this app, fans can follow skat- ing events and their favorite skaters from wherever they are, allowing them to experience the sport like never before.” With Skate Radio now available through the icenet-

work app, fans anywhere can tune in to hear fi gure skating experts providing insight into the technical scoring of the sport and how each element in a skater’s performance is being scored by the judges in real time. Additionally, com- petition results, news stories and recent tweets from skat- ers will all be available in real time through a unique and easy-to-use design. The app became available for download on Jan. 18,

prior to the start of championship competition at the 2017 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Kansas City, Missouri.
