Northeast Oklahoma Pride Photo Contest A
t Northeast Oklahoma Electric Coopera ve, Inc. (NEOEC), we are proud of our northeast Oklahoma roots. We know our members share that same pride. We believe a great way to commemorate that pride is through your treasured photographs. In fact, we are so confi dent in you, our members, we have decided to host a photo contest and use images received to produce a calendar, which will be given as a gi to members registering at Annual Mee ng on September 17, 2016. Here are the details, and GOOD LUCK!
Photo Contest Rules Term:
Northeast Oklahoma Electric Coopera ve’s photo contest begins March 1, 2016, and ends July 15, 2016. Entries must be received by the close of business, 4:30 p.m. on July 15, 2016.
Who may enter: Members of Northeast Oklahoma Electric Coopera ve, Inc., may enter. One entry per membership. By submi ng an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest.
Entries submi ed by anyone less than 18 years of age must be accompanied by a permission and release form completed by entrant’s parent or legal guardian. The form may be provided by mail or delivered by hand by the contest deadline.
What to enter and categories: All entries must be images taken within our service area. This includes Craig, Mayes, O awa, and Delaware coun es, as well as parts of Rogers and Nowata coun es. The loca on of the photo must be revealed in the contest applica on.
Seasonal Splendor: Oklahoma has unbeatable beauty during all seasons.
Nature at its Best: Flora and fauna of Oklahoma.
Labor Conquers All Things: Strong Oklahoma work ethic molded this saying into the offi cial state mo o.
Special Celebra ons: Parades, holidays, picnics, family reunions, community fes vals, etc.
Oklahoma Weather: If you aren’t ge ng the picture you like, just wait a few minutes; the weather will change.
Favorite Pas me: Oklahoman’s are a varied group. Hun ng, fi shing, rodeos, reading, woodworking, golf, just to name a few.
Cropped photos are eligible in all categories. No digitally or otherwise enhanced photos. Minor adjustments, including spo ng, dodging and burning, sharpening, contrast

and slight color adjustment or the digital equivalents, are acceptable. If the judges determine that a photographer has altered his or her photo, they reserve the right to disqualify it.
Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent or other objec onable or inappropriate content, as determined by NEOEC in its sole discre on, are ineligible for this contest.
For a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must secure a model release from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject’s parent or guardian and provide it by mail or hand-delivery to the coopera ve by the closing of the contest.
Photos must be the original work of the entrant. Photos commissioned by a professional photographer (family portraits, spor ng events) and copyright protected are not eligible.

The email used to submit an entry must include:
• Name • Mailing address • Contact phone number • 6-digit account number
• Category for photo submission (Seasonal Splendor, Favorite Pas me, etc.)
• Whether a model release is being submi ed
• Whether a permission and release for a minor is being submi ed
• Detailed descrip on of loca on where photo was taken
• Descrip on of photo
High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolu on possible. Photographs must be in a .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format and may not be larger than 10 MB. The fi le name for the image must include the member’s name and 6 digit account number (i.e.
janedoe123456.jpeg).
NEOEC reserves the right to disqualify incomplete entries and/or contestants who are unable to submit, upon request, a high- resolu on photograph of at least 300 dpi.
You retain your rights to your photograph; however, by entering the contest, you grant NEOEC a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create deriva ve works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now exis ng or later developed, for any NEOEC purpose, including, but not limited to, adver sing and promo on of NEOEC or any of its subsidiary businesses and its website, exhibi on, and commercial products, including but not limited to NE Connec on publica ons and the aforemen oned calendar. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit as feasible. NEOEC will not be required to pay any addi onal considera on or seek any addi onal approval in connec on with such

Judging: Photo entries will be judged based on crea vity, quality, originality, depic on of the category, and overall impact.
Judging will be conducted by employees of NEOEC. NEOEC will select a winner and runner-up for each category. Winning entrants will be contacted a er August 1, 2016. Winners will be announced in the September 2016 issue of NE Connec on.

Prizes: Twelve prizes will be awarded. Each category will have a winner, receiving a $50 electric credit, and a runner-up, receiving a $25 electric credit.
