Co-op in Sound Financial Condition

Continued from page 1.

3. A 2016 budget has been completed and CVEC is projected to exceed our lender’s financial requirements. 4. Points 1, 2 and 3 lead to this great news for our

members; No rate increase will be needed at this time. 5. In regard to the facilities issues that have surfaced in the past year, we have a simple and economical plan for maintenance work in the building that will allow us to open every office back up. We are still in a building that is over 50 years old and will need to look at new facilities in the near future. But the pressure is off to make any rash decision regarding the new headquarters. 6. CVEC is proceeding in a collaborative effort with WFEC to install two 250 kW solar arrays. As I stated earlier, the good news just keeps coming

in. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that it is not all pie in the sky. CVEC still has challenges ahead, just like every other power company. But, the cooperative model works and I am proud to be a part of that model. On a personal note, Rita and I are pleased to be in Oklahoma and are excited about the next few months. We have met some outstanding people, both in the community and at CVEC. We both wish for all, a blessed month and Easter season. With a special wish that winter and winter weather are both over! Good day to all.
