Sign Up For Solar Power! Support renewable energy from the sun through ECE’s solar project


ou asked for it and it’s almost here: Clean, renewable solar


Construction will begin soon on the cooperative- sponsored the solar project, located southwest of co-op headquarters in Okmulgee. Once complete, the solar array will include 950 solar panels; each capable of producing 315 kilowatts of electricity.


Co-op members who wish to support renewable energy —and receive a bill credit for their participation— are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.


You can participate by subscribing to one or more solar panels. Members may subscribe to up to 25 panels, however, the generating capacity of the panels cannot exceed what is needed to serve their primary residence. The cost per panel is $350.

Participating ECE members


receive a credit on their electric bill equal to the electricity created by their share of the solar array.


Particpants will receive a monthly bill credit for the amount of electricity generated by their share of the panels multiplied by .034 cents per kilowatt-hour (kwh).
