2014 MILESTONES & ACHIEVEMENTS


NFEC Trustee Jimmy Taylor is elected President of the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC) Board of Trustees. His term in office is one year.


Trustees allocate over $1.7 million in margins after reviewing the 2013 financial statements.


New monthly billing statements are introduced.


Lineman J. C. Ely earns journeyman lineman certification.


Steva Adams and Charles Werner retire, concluding 22-year careers with NFEC.


NFEC’s 2013 Annual Report wins Award of Merit at annual OAEC Newsletter Competition.


Youth Tour winners are Abigayle Willis and Kara Eckart. Runners-up are Destry Pollard and Lauren Cummings. All are juniors at Merritt High School.


Co-op Family Christmas continues to make a positive impact on area families during the Holidays.


Safety Coordinator Heath Martin earns Loss Control Professional certification after completing intensive internship program.


Board of Trustees break ground on the co-op’s new headquarters facility, which will be completed in the Fall of 2015.


Recipients of NFEC’s annual $500 scholarships are MiKayla Harrison, Elk City High School; Drake Boyce, Gunner Garrison, and Whitley Land, Cheyenne High School; Laura Reed, Erick High School; Cody Milner, Home Schooled.


75TH ANNUAL MEETING CELEBRATION


More than 400 members - about 15 percent of the membership - attend the meeting August 16 in Sayre.


Registration gifts are a stainless steel cleaver, commemorative ball cap, and a cookbook compiled of recipes contributed by NFEC members.


Day-long activities include a flea market, Zach Coffey and the Grind from Dallas, free swimming and miniature golf.


Over 180 door prizes awarded.


Grand Prize is a trip for four to Washington, D. C.
