Wisconsin Company Expanding Facility to Increase Effi ciency Fall River Group, Fall River, Wis-
consin, announced it will be construct- ing a 60,000 sq.-ft. addition to the Fall River Foundry facility in Fall River. T e company’s machining operations
currently in Milwaukee will be re- located to the addition. According to a news release, “the
move is targeted to increase the group’s overall effi ciency and to provide for
further growth along with an increased ability to meet customer expectations.” “Our main goal for this whole
process is to become more effi cient as a company,” executive vice president John Vick told the Columbus Journal. In a release, the company said this
will help them “continue providing this machining service and increase their competitive advantage in an ever changing marketplace.” A line of concrete fi nishing tools
Fall River Group produces also will be manufactured at the expanded facility. According to local reports, con-
struction is expected to begin in May. An addition to the front of the offi ce is also planned. “T at’s what you’ll see building fi rst,”
Fall River Foundry is being expanded to help the company increase effi ciency. Brembo Conducts First Pour in Michigan Facility
Brembo has conducted the fi rst pour at its new iron casting facility in Homer, Michigan. T e pour was a test of the systems
in the facility to make sure they are functioning. It is the initial step before the ramping up of production begins. According to a news release, the
facility’s “furnaces were charged and the molten raw material from these furnaces was poured into a mold for the first time.” All of the systems performed as
expected. “T e startup of our new, state of the
art (facility) in Homer is further proof of Brembo’s commitment to Michigan and is a key component of Brembo’s continued global expansion,” said Matteo Tiraboschi, deputy executive chairman, Brembo S.p.A. T e 266,000-sq. ft. facility began
construction in 2015, and production was set to be ramped up in May. It will be fully operational in 2017. T e investment was fi rst announced
in July 2014. Once completed, the plant will have an annual output of up to 80,000 tons in brake disc castings and add 250 jobs

there and at the company’s Plymouth, Michigan, research and development center and headquarters. T e facility is near Brembo’s 440,000-sq. ft. facility that machines
discs and drums for the original equip- ment market. Brembo also operates a caliper and
corner module assembly facility at the same location.
