Versatile Wacker Neuson lights Long-life light from eKonomical
The Flood-It Prime8 from eKonomical is a rechargeable cordless LED light that has been recently updated with a 12Ah battery to provide illumination that covers 40m for up to nine hours. An integrated dimmer switch can extend this to 30 hours, making it useful in situations where work takes longer to complete than anticipated. The portable lamp is said to have an operating life of 50,000 hours, and it is designed to resist ingress of water and dust, making it suitable for use in harsh environments.

Wacker Neuson’s LTN6LV lighting tower has four halogen lamps that can be manually adjusted independently for optimum site illumination. When the mast is extended, the lights can be rotated through 360° electrically. LED lamps can also be specified for the machine.
The manufacturer also offers the ‘light balloon’, which is designed for quick setup on site. It is available with an HQI metal halide light or a halogen lamp, housed in a tear-resistant fabric envelope to give diffused illumination without glare.

New BGG hybrid machine
In readiness for the autumn season, BGG UK has just launched the hybrid Sitelight Lithium-LED lighting tower. Fitted with a 1,500rpm Kohler water-cooled diesel engine and a Lithium-ion battery pack, the machine is designed to run on battery power alone for up to 8.5 hours, making it suitable for use in urban locations as it gives noiseless operation. It is said to provide a comparable light output to a standard metal halide lamps, and that the lower energy consumption enables significant fuel savings to be achieved, with the machine’s 100-litre fuel tank being able to typically give
50 days of running time. The engine is used to recharge the battery pack during daylight hours, reaching its full charge in 2.5 hours. The machine can also be linked to BGG’s remote fleet monitoring system, enabling it to be controlled via a laptop of smartphone, as well as enabling the status of the lighting tower to be monitored.

Thermobile has added enhancements to its ITA Series of indirect fired mobile diesel heaters. Standard models now have a fuel gauge, sealed electronics and increased air flow capability. In addition, models with the Robust specification have large ball bearing wheels, forklift slots and bumper bar surrounds.
Models are available with outputs of 25kW, 45kW and 70kW and each has a high-efficiency heat exchanger, combustion chamber that is said to be heat resistant up to 850°C and a one-way pipe system to prevent fuel supply disruption. The complete Thermobile range includes oil, propane, natural gas and electric heaters, ranging from 3kW to 380kW.
