SDMO offers a wide range of pumps, ranging from a portable 1in petrol clear water set, to a
diesel 4in unit for use in extreme conditions. These are complemented by 2in and 3in semi-trash and trash pumps powered by Kohler diesel or Honda petrol engines. The flagship model is the Trash 4, powered by at Kohler KD 350
engine. The self-priming unit delivers a maximum outflow of 2000 litres per minute to a height of 17m. It has sufficient fuel for up to 4.5 hours of continuous operation. The machine has a graphite cast iron impeller and silicon carbide mechanical seals for fast reduction of water levels in flooded areas, even if mud and similar residue is apparent, says the manufacturer. The complete pump is fitted into a steel tubular frame and weighs 57kg.

The Fox F50-800 vacuum from Dart Tool Group is available in 110V and 240V
configurations and has a steel drum with a top- mounted vacuum head and motor. The head has three clip-on options for use on carpets, wood floors or for wet vacuuming, such as cleaning up flooded areas. The unit is supplied
with three filter options depending on intended use. When used to clean up water, the washable foam filter is pulled over the filter basket to protect the vacuum intake. A float system turns the motor off automatically so that the liquid will not reach it. The operating switches and the power outlet socket are covered with waterproof clear plastic for protection.
