MARKET REPORT HEATING & LIGHTING continued

More options from Morris

Morris Site Machinery now offers ten variants of its SMC TL-90 lighting tower, including the TL-90 LED, designed for energy efficiency. One company that has added the machine to its fleet is On Location Hire, which serves the events, television and film industries. The hirer reports that customers appreciate the instant re-light capability of the lamps, as this avoids wasting time in waiting for them to cool, unlike traditional metal halide units. The machine is also claimed to use 50% less fuel than a standard tower light, with reductions in carbon emissions. Also available is the SMC Solar-2 which is claimed to be able to achieve an indefinite run time, subject to quality of day light and

based on 8-10 hours of operation within 24 hours. Mainline Tool & Plant Hire of Swadlincote is one of the first hire companies to add the machine to its fleet and reports that, at one customer’s site, it has run without re-charge for over 350 hours. Morris has also developed a DC LED low voltage machine in association with its Australian distributor, Allight, for Coates Hire.

The company is the sole UK distributor of the Biemmedue range, and also offers a comprehensive selection of spare parts and ancillary items, including thermostats, ducting and diffusers. A recent introduction to the range is the
