Kubota plans Grand display


Kubota, which believes that more hirers could profitably add its grounds care equipment to their fleets, will launch a new range of Grand L40-II Series tractors at Saltex. They have an integrated cab designed for operator comfort, and incorporate the manufacturer’s newly branded HST Plus hydrostatic transmission. The machines are targeted at users in diverse markets, including golf clubs, landscaping professionals and local authorities. The


company’s popular


KX019-4 mini excavator will also be on display.


The machine can be used for various construction and ground care tasks, and is particularly suitable for use in tight working spaces.


Toughen tyres with Air-Seal


As well as being able to prevent punctures on machinery, the sealant offered by Air-Seal Products are claimed to be able to increase tyre life by up to 20%, as the risk of air pressure loss is reduced. One application is said to last the useable lifetime of a tyre, and formulations are available that can seal punctures in tread depths of up to 30mm deep. At Saltex, the company will show a new pail dolly, designed to facilitate handling tubs of the compounds.


High work-rate GreenMech chippers


Chippers to be shown on the GreenMech stand include the compact CS100, which measures 760mm wide and can process solid timber of up to 100mm diameter. Also displayed will the 150mm-capacity Arborist 150 which has a 970mm x 790mm in-feed hopper to facilitate bushy green waste reduction, coupled with a 150mm x 230mm letterbox-style throat to accommodate forked branches. A tracked version, the ArbTrak 150, is also available. In addition, visitors will be able to see the Arborist 190, which has a 190mm chipping capacity. It incorporates a 1200mm x 840mm infeed hopper and a 190mm x 280mm infeed throat for processing heavily forked branches and waste brash quickly.


New compact Avant model


Avant Tecno plans to unveil a new compact tool carrier designed with the landscaping industry in mind. The manufacturer says that, despite being of diminutive proportions, it incorporates many characteristics found in its range of larger machines. Weighing less than 1000kg, it is designed to be easy to transport on a small trailer and is suitable for tasks in areas where space is at a premium. New attachments will also be on display,


including a collector mower and a re-designed edge trimmer that can be swung to either side of the host machine.
