New Stainless Steel Separator on show at RWM 2015

On stand 5T152-V153, Bunting Magnetics will be launching, displaying and demonstrating the new High Intensity Separation Conveyor (HISC) which has been specifically developed to separate stainless steel. This will be the first time the Stainless Steel Separator has been exhibited in Europe.

The launch follows a prolonged period of research and development. On the High Intensity Separation Conveyor, material is carried along a conveyor belt into the magnetic field where even weakly magnetic stainless steel is attracted and separated from non-magnetic material. There has already been a huge response from recycling companies in the USA and UK, with the first European installation planned for August 2015. At RWM, Bunting will be demonstrating the Stainless

Steel Separator. Carlton Hicks, Bunting’s UK Sales Manager explained: “Seeing is believing and we are thrilled to be exhibiting newly developed equipment that addresses the age old problem – separating and recovering stainless steel. Being able to launch this in Europe at RWM is fantastic as we know that the show attracts visitors from across the world. Of course, the key to any successful separation is sizing and preparing the material before it is processed on the

High Intensity Separation Conveyor and this means recovering and removing the magnetics using Drum Magnets and Pulley Magnets and then non-ferrous metals with an Eddy Current Separator. The Eddy Current Separator doesn’t recover stainless steel, but we will then be left with a material mix which includes the valuable stainless steel and non-metallic materials. RWM will be a very exciting show for us.”
