Pipe Center
With the role of building services professionals diversifying due to technological developments and economic change, Pipe Center has launched a new valve guide to aid specifi cation.
The guide is specifi c to Wolseley’s exclusive range of JET valves and is
the fi rst to list products by application. The applications covered are low temperature hot water, domestic hot water, potable water, chilled water and gas.
According to Pipe Center, many of its customers are now involved in vast mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation projects that demand a plethora of skills and product knowledge. Phil Viner, category director for pipes, valves and fi ttings at Wolseley said: “With so many variations of valves on the market, we identifi ed a need to start listing our products by project rather than product.” There are over 100 JET valves in the guide, including Pipe Center’s latest commissioning valve.

Air Diff usion has met the challenge of balancing healthy conditions with a discreet design with its FlowBar high capacity linear slot diff users.
These combine a very high air handling capacity with maximum
fl exibility. Suitable for ceilings or sidewalls and available in straight lines or curves, their discrete look and modular form helps them blend into any design. As a result, they have received a warm reception from both architects and interior designers. Integral pattern controllers are between 300 - 600mm long, allowing the airstream to be directed left and right for horizontal and vertical airfl ow. Standard slot sizes are 25mm, 38mm and 51mm, with single section lengths up to 2400mm. The standard fi nish is a polyester powder coating. Available models include the FlowBar High Throw (HT) series, primarily for ceilings. Surface- mounted and plaster frame styles are available as standard with other frame and border options available on request. The FlowBar Jet Throw (JT) series off ers wing blades so the airstream can be jetted horizontally from a side-mounted position. Jet throw blades allow extended throws in typical high bay applications.

TQ Environmental
TQ Environmental has recently enhanced its product range with the launch of the TQ31 range of standalone single point Refrigerant Leak Detection Sensors and Alarm Panels.
The TQ31 range complies with the very latest EN378 regulations and can be used in a variety of locations, including hotels and offi ces. It is specifi cally designed to monitor for the build-up of refrigerant gases which are typically used in air conditioning systems. In addition, It is resistant to cross sensitivity and has a time delay feature. The TQ32 Area Alarm panel, in combination with the TQ31, allows for group monitoring of individual rooms for common refrigerants used in air conditioning. A single alarm panel will typically monitor one or two fl oors, depending on the number of sensors that are needed.
In addition, the three-digit LED display shows the individual room numbers. Confi gurable alarm outputs can provide plant trip signals and alert the reception desk via an optional TQ34 indicator panel. For further details contact
