Adaptive coil clear VerteX is the star of a new video from Advanced Engineering.
Air conditioning and refrigeration cleaning expert Advanced Engineering has produced a video demonstrating the unique properties of VerteX, its full-spectrum aqueous coil cleaner. VerteX is pH 7.0 — similar to water (pH 7.0) — but adapts its pH value to more eff ectively combat diff erent types of dirt without the detrimental eff ects of harsh cleaners.
The video compares VerteX side-by-side with both acidic and alkaline formulations in two diff erent experiments, with each one illustrating just how eff ective its adaptive properties are at combatting the types of dirt more commonly targeted by extreme pH formulations.
Dr Kajally Jobe, head of research and development at Advanced Engineering, said: “It’s just a three-minute video, but it’s incredibly eff ective at showing how VerteX is the best of both worlds and without the drawbacks of harsher cleaners.”

Klima-Therm
Klima-Therm has introduced the Circlemiser, a new Turbomiser chiller with a new heat exchanger design, replacing fl at coils with special cylindrical condensers, and the use of fl ooded evaporators in a cascade system.
By packing more active heat exchange surface into a given space, the heat exchange capacity of Circlemiser’s new cylindrical microchannel condensers is increased by 45% compared with traditional condensers. The design of the heat exchangers increases capacity in the rejection and delivery sides by reducing condensing temperature and evaporator approach temperature. The cascade system with fl ooded evaporators reduces temperature diff erence between evaporation temperature and outlet temperature of the chilled water. This increase in evaporation temperature reduces energy consumption.
Compared with standard air-cooled Turbomisers, Circlemiser has demonstrated an 9.5% increase in EER with one compressor and 15% with multiple compressors. The highest EER value is 4.35.

RABScreen Precision
Precision’s latest bottle coolers take the hassle out of back bar equipment, with the company’s new maintenance-free condenser fi tted across the range. With a stainless steel exterior and
interior and glass doors as standard, internal LED lighting enhances the display. Adjustable perforated stainless steel shelves allow for diff erent sizes of bottles.
The coolers use R134a refrigerant and 40mm zero ODP polyurethane insulation and feature a waste heat recovery condensate vaporiser system. Internal temperature is maintained between 3-15°C. Front venting design means they fi t into any back bar layout and the exterior can be painted to any RAL number, is available in black plastic steel exterior, and can even be supplied with wooden doors. An electronic controller with an LED display is positioned inside the cabinet and a hi/lo audio-visual alarm alerts staff to any problems. The bottle coolers are available as the single door BBS 600, double door BBS 900, wide two door BBS 1200 and three door BBS1350. A matching 600mm glass froster is also available.

RABScreen’s new website provides information on how companies can save energy, time and money through installing RABScreen external fi lter screens.
Dedicated sections on chillers, air handling units and cooling towers enable users to see which versions to use. The benefi ts are enormous, as a 1mm layer dirt layer on coil fi ns can reduce effi ciency by 21% and increase energy use by up to 30%.
The ‘Knowledge Base’ tab includes FAQs, with data on the
benefi ts of RABScreen external fi lters and the eff ects on airfl ow, as well as the diff erent types, sizes and shapes of RABScreen available. In addition to a blog, the website’s ‘News’ section features various case studies showing the successful application of RABScreen.
A ‘Resource’ tab shows options for installers. Mounting methods vary from stainless steel grommets and magnetic mounting clips, to Velcro fastenings and bungee cords. Rigid frames can be used with a galvanised slide and fi tted with magnetic strip.
