Panasonic Heating and Cooling has an update to its G1 Type Floor Console for VRF air conditioning solutions. The range will be available with nanoe X as standard, the technology that purifies air.
The nanoe X technology helps to reduce
the growth of certain allergens, mould, bacteria and some viruses by up to 99.9%.
Smith Brothers has achieved the silver FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) accreditation for the fourth year running since upgrading from bronze. Overall SBS has held the accreditation for seven years.
The award is granted to its wide fleet of vehicles and all the vehicles hold the status, meaning that when a delivery from one of our branches
located across England and Wales is placed, the vehicles meet the high standards set by the scheme.
The fleet compromises of 12T, 7.5T and 3.5T flatbeds along with new 5T curtain sided lorry. The curtain sider is the newest member and currently services the recently relocated branch, Rainham (London East). The business has also placed its first order of an 18T lorry. Smith Brothers fleet is constantly increasing as nine vehicles have been added in just the last year alone. This takes the total number of vehicles to 84 that service the 15-depot network, which includes the head office in Blaby, Leicestershire.
The company’s vision since it was founded was to offer value through service, and this accreditation goes a long to justifying such an approach. Its staff will see the greatest impact as they must gain the required knowledge and skills to meet standards which are focused around improving road safety, reducing the risk of collisions and vulnerable road users.
The scheme is a voluntary accreditation for vehicle fleets such as buses, coaches, vans and trucks. Focus is also given to vehicle efficiency along with environmental protection.
With its fleet of vehicles the business continually focuses on reducing CO2
emissions making, where possible, vehicles conform to both the ‘low emission zone’ and ‘ultra low emission zone’ administered by Transport for London, and expanding to other major cities such as Leeds and Birmingham in 2020.

The G1 Type Floor Console has a double air flow direction designed to keep the temperature even throughout a room. Also, the G1 Type Floor Console for VRF systems have super quiet operation. The unit also features a self-cleaning function, automatically switching on a maximum 90 minutes after operation. During self- cleaning mode air flow is directed upwards to ensure air doesn’t blow directly towards people.
The G1 Floor Console is compact and easy to integrate into any environment. The unit has a depth of 207mm. The Floor Console offers three different installation options to suit customer requirements: Exposed and mounted on the floor or wall, half-concealed within a slight alcove or concealed (set within the wall structure) and flush with the wall.

LG’s Artcool Gallery air conditioning units have been available for Multi Split and VRF systems previously and will now also be available as a single split option. The Artcool Gallery units allow you to customise your space with interchangeable artwork. Standard features from the single split range include Auto cleaning, jet cool, three-way swing, fast heating and the popular silence mode. It features LG’s dual inverter compressor which provides an air conditioner that cools faster, lasts longer and operates more quietly. The varied speed dual rotary compressor motor in the Single Split Artcool Gallery units has a wider rotational frequency that is energy efficient and has a high volumetric quick cooling capacity. The Dual Inverter Compressor reduces the vibration associated with its operation and with it the sound pressure levels. Golf Fin coating adds to the units durability, by protecting the heat exchanger from unnecessary wear and corrosion.
