there yet? T
he ACR News Awards entries close this month on the 15th. This is the last, fi deadline before the entries are all collated
e 15th. This is the last, fi fi nal and presented to the judges for consideration, so
make sure you have yours in. We’d really like to see more entries from those of you who think you won’t win. That may be true, but it’s also true that if you don’t enter, you never will.
The volume of entries this year has so far exceeded previous years, which I take to mean among other things, that there is a surge of confi dence within the industry. Specifically, the refrigeration sector which has been notably quiet in recent years has become more active.
This is in part driven by legislation, including that coming into force on 01 January 2020. The new year starts with the ban on refrigerants with a GWP greater than 2500 being used to service or refill refrigeration or freezer systems (with a refrigerant charge size of 40 tonnes of CO2 equivalent or more).
I’ve just seen that Brexit’s been delayed again too. No surprise there, but all this does mean that the next six months are going to be even more interesting than the last six months.
