utput decreased by 0.9% in a downward revision from the preliminary estimate of a 0.7% decline released in October, and follows the 0.5% fall in output recorded in Q2. FSW opens Gloucester branch
SW has celebrated the opening of its new, Gloucester-based branch with an open day.
Customers were recently greeted during an open day at the new branch by manager Alan Cooke and his team. The open day was a great success, with over 50 customers attending the event which included trade stands from Testo, A-Gas, Advanced Engineering, Sauermann, Errecom, Value Tools, J&E Hall and Fujitsu. With product demonstrations from these leading suppliers taking place throughout the day, as well as free food and refreshments, freebies, and a wide selection of raffle prizes, customers didn’t leave empty handed. Guests were delighted with the new branch, with its superb new trade counter, warehousing facility and ease of access.
Now officially open, the Gloucester branch was handed over to Mr Cooke and his team with a cutting of the ribbon by FSW directors Graham Hill and Mark Henderson.
high levels – 1.1% higher than a year ago and 7.1% higher than 2015 Q3.
“There is also a clear variation in performance by sector, as highlighted in the CPA’s forecasts. Private housing output rose 1.8% to a record high during the quarter, with demand and confidence sustained by the Help to Buy equity loan. The £10bn extra funding for the policy announced last month will maintain impetus in house building, with
greater certainty over affordable rent-setting also supporting building by housing associations. “Nevertheless, areas of weakness include private commercial, where new orders have fallen for three quarters and signal a lack of offices and retail projects to replace those now coming to an end. This is echoed in the public non-housing sector, which is suffering from lower volumes of work on schools and a dearth of new large hospitals projects.”
Testo celebrates 60 years T
his year marks Testo’s 60th anniversary, which it has celebrated with a gala dinner and charity challenge.
Testo presented Treloar’s with a £10,000 cheque following the completion of its charity challenge. The motto of the the company’s jubilee year is:
Testo says thank you. Burkart Knospe, Testo’s chief executive, explained: “We can look back on six decades of dynamism and successful pioneering as a high- tech specialist. Numerous employees, customers and business partners contributed to the long- term growth and success of the company. That is why the 2017 anniversary year is under the motto, Testo says thank you.”
Daniel Auer, managing director of Testo Limited added: “Testo UK would like to add its thanks to all UK customers and distribution partners for their ongoing support and business.” In celebration, Testo held a gala dinner at the Freiburg Exhibition Centre for 1,300 employees, retirees, international guests, as well as VIPs. A fabulous evening was enjoyed by all who attended, with guests enjoying a sumptuous meal, followed by live bands and performers. To mark its 60 year anniversary, Testo also took on a worldwide charity challenge with the aim to
get fitter as a team and raise money for a great cause. Testo UK challenged its employees, friends, family, customers and business partners to run, cycle or walk to help achieve a target of 25,000 km and raise money for Treloar’s School & College for young people with physical disabilities. The company successfully reached its target and, in October, Testo employees, Treloar’s staff and some of the students who will directly see the benefits of the donation all joined together in celebration. Mr Auer was delighted to donate a cheque for the fantastic sum of £10,000 to Treloar’s director of fundraising, Jon Colville. The money will be used to send Treloar’s Year 9 and 10 school groups on a week-long residential adventure study course called ‘Pushing the Boundaries’. The course is specifically designed for young people with physical disabilities and allows students to experience adventure sports for the very first time, in a safe and supportive environment.
Mr Colville commented: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Testo who helped to raise a magnificent £10,000 for the disabled students who live and study at Treloar’s. This money will quite literally help transform lives.”
