Samsung

Samsung has shown industry innovation through the launch of its single three pipe Heat Recovery VRF outdoor unit, the largest system of its kind in the world. The single 30HP (84kW) outdoor unit tops the extended range, which also includes new 28HP, 26HP and 24HP capacity systems. These models are extremely versatile and can be combined to create 90HP (252kW) VRF systems.

The new range of air conditioning systems incorporates Samsung’s

fl ash injection technology compressors, which improve effi ciency and heat output in low ambient conditions. The models also enhance the intelligent defrost feature that ensures continuous heating up to 40% longer than competitor models.

Samsung’s research and development team has designed the models to provide superior air comfort for businesses, and with sophisticated controls, these are the ideal heating and cooling systems for large commercial buildings.

To complement the new system, a revised range of three pipe refrigerant distribution boxes has been added to the product line up, including a new one-way box.

The existing two, four and six-way boxes have been redesigned to allow both parallel and serial connections. This is where the boxes are piped directly together using common pipework, reducing the number of branch pipe joints and therefore brazes.

Panasonic

Panasonic has unveiled its new advanced AC Smart Cloud, an internet- based remote monitoring system that allows businesses to centralise control of Panasonic heating and cooling installations.

The AC Smart Cloud has been developed with the commercial market in mind and simplifi es the monitoring of Panasonic heating and cooling installations across multiple locations. This will help businesses track energy consumption and save money. Panasonic’s AC Smart Cloud has already been successfully installed in hotel, retail and business applications across Europe.

The system is quick and easy to set up and can be linked to both new and existing installations. The Cloud is simple to use and doesn’t require specialised software. Users log in through a standard web browser and the system is ready to go. Systems already installed will automatically connect to the server cloud and update all parameters in real time. There are two ways to connect Panasonic heating and cooling units to the cloud server – either using Panasonic’s integrated LAN connection or via Panasonic’s dedicated communication pack. This pack consists of a professional plug and play router with a built in 3G SIM card. www.panasonic.com
