More than partners – more than a partnership
There is much to be said for the growing trend of forming partnerships, as there is usually a coming together of expertise and commitment that leads to something greater than the sum of its parts. First Choice and Adande is one such partnership, as Steve James of First Choice explains.
W
here manufacturers have product research and development skills and years of very specialised experience which often leads to new ground- breaking products, specialised parts companies can bring a whole new set of distribution and storage solution skills to the market, such as the many ways to deliver parts and the even more varied ways to pack them to arrive safely. Storage is another area where partnerships work well, as manufacturers are investing in new models more frequently than just a few years ago; this means a whole new set of parts in stock, up to 300 for each model or range, and also increasing staff to accommodate the extra business created by those new models. Many manufacturers are turning to specialised distribution and storage providers to hold very high stock levels whilst off ering all the varied ways to deliver. In March of this year we announced a Master Distribution Agreement with Adande, the UK’s market leader for specialist

refrigeration drawer products and technology. Essentially, the agreement means First Choice – just weeks after being acquired by the world’s biggest foodservice spares and OEM parts distributor, Parts Town weeks – is able to supply customers with products from Adande’s impressive itinerary of stock.
During the seven months that have passed since the deal was initially signed, First Choice has responded to the challenge and responsibility of supporting, sustaining and growing Adande with the same passion and drive that has made us the UK’s number one supplier of catering spare parts.
The key to our continued success is in developing and maintaining strong working relationships. The partnership with Adande has presented us with the opportunity to pursue the potential for new growth and development, and the chance to foster long term achievement.
