arrier’s new AquaEdge 19DV water-cooled centrifugal chiller is designed to off er the ultimate in fl exible and effi cient cooling and heating technology.
Every building is diff erent and the design, usage, layout and climate all have a huge eff ect on heating and cooling needs. Plus those needs vary at diff erent times of the year. To adapt and meet these changing requirements requires a chiller that can do it all — and in ways the industry hasn’t seen before. That’s why Carrier has developed the 19DV water-cooled chiller with several innovative features, based on a total-system approach to effi cient cooling and heating. The result is a chiller that is supremely reliable, effi cient and eff ectively future-proof. Once installed, users may never have to think about it again.
The 19DV delivers world-class cooling performance. The 19DV’s unique two-stage back-to-back compression uses lift optimisation technology, which allows for highly eff ective heat recovery. This enables the chiller at standard conditions to ‘fl ex’ up to 48.9°C for energy-saving hot water production. It also provides free cooling, enabling the system to easily meet many building sustainability requirements and deliver thousands of pounds worth of energy savings per year.
While many chillers shut down when faced with stressful conditions, the 19DV’s two-stage compressor with MaxFlex capability allows for continued operation under demanding conditions. That means the it keeps cool under pressure, and continues to perform performing reliably even outside of standard conditions.
