T

he acr industry excels at trailblazing and while the driver for developing this year’s unique Awards event is the terrible Covid- 19 crisis, as a publication supporting such an industry, we could

do no less – and the 2020 ACR News Awards became the fi rst virtual Awards in acr. This is the one of the biggest little industries in the world, populated

by some incredibly passionate people doing exceptionally innovative things and the whole world should know that, and that is also what the Awards are all about. The ACR News Awards has fi rmly established itself as focal point in the industry calendar since its launch in 1997 and this year was no diff erent as we gathered, albeit virtually, to honour the cutting- edge products and inspirational professionals from across the air conditioning and refrigeration sector. Everyone’s participation in this year’s Awards has continued to show the industry’s support for this scheme and the importance of recognising those that help to make the sector shine. Particular thanks for their unwavering support must go to Bitzer, Blended, Carrier, CIAT, Climalife, Hawco, Pacair, Smith Brothers Stores and Toshiba. Also Gel Clear, Harp, Pump House and White Recruitment. A big thank you to all who entered, all who judged and voted, and those who supported the event – and most of all, huge congratulations to those who won on the night.
