‘Our school was awarded £5,000 from the OneFamily Foundation to transform our Early Years outdoor area into a natural learning environment, with musical pieces, tables, and water equipment. In order to be awarded the grant, we had
to persuade people in the community to vote for us. We created a page on the OneFamily website, detailing how the money would make a difference in our school. We also pulled together a communication plan listing all potential voters within our community, then split these up between us. We issued press releases to the local paper
and radio station, kept our Facebook and Twitter pages updated, and even walked the main streets of Marlow, asking for votes! oting was open for about ve weeks, and afterwards we received the amazing news that we’d won!
