WHO? Aman Bank WHAT? Flexcube

JMR Infotech has completed an implementation of Oracle FSS’ Flexcube universal banking system at Libya’s Aman Bank. The bank has replaced its ‘home-grown’ legacy system after an initial

selection of the Oracle platform in 2012. Deputy Chairman of Aman Bank, Rui Cupertino, says that

the implementation reflects the FI’s, “desire to grow and align with new technology” and “provide a superior end-customer

with new technology” and “provide a superior end-customer experience. We expect the new system to deliver significant improvements that will benefit our customers. A future-proof solution like Flexcube and an IT partner like JMR Infotech will help us in our growth plans and evolve our technology ecosystem.”

WHO? Family Bank WHAT? Avenir

Kenya-based Family Bank is implementing JMR Infotech’s Avenir bancassurance system. The system selection was driven by the fact that Family Bank’s newly-formed insurance subsidiary wanted to improve its service delivery.

Family Bank Insurance Agency was

formed a little over two months ago and plans to use the JMR solution to mark its entry into the market. “Capacity to address the ever increasing insurance needs of our customers is critical besides operational

efficiency, cost reduction and optimising asset utilisation,” says Dipesh Shah, General Manager of the Insurance Subsidiary. “This new platform has a rich user experience, inbuilt underwriting capability, supports multiple product lines and easy to generate customised reports, among others, aspects of the technology that would enhance our turnaround time for customers through efficiency and convenience.”

WHO? TD WHAT? Visa tokenisation tech

TD Bank Group (TD) has become the first Canadian financial institution to adopt Visa’s global standard tokenisation technology for its Android app.

“We continually look for opportunities

to elevate the digital experience for our customers,” says Rizwan Khalfan, Chief Digital Officer, TD. “The adoption of Visa’s tokenisation solution allows us to deliver a faster, simpler, and more accessible mobile payments experience, backed by a secure technology developed by a global leader in payments.” The move to tokenisation means this

service is not SIM card or carrier dependant, so it can be used on more phones and by

more TD customers. All that is required is a personal TD credit card loaded on an Android phone running on Kit Kat (version 4.4) or higher. An Android widget

is also available, for the first time, to allow for one-button access to launch mobile payments within the app.
