IBS Journal March 2016

‘Given that most US solutions continue on with ageing mainframe-based solutions, international players such as Infosys, Misys, SAP, TCS and Temenos are looking to chip their way in’.

Jack Henry leads the pack with 21 new deals for its Episys product, all of them being sold to Credit Unions and accounting for almost half the total deals for this supplier. Four of these were sold on a hosted model. The next best seller for the supplier was its Silverlake solution, primarily focused with banks. More importantly, all its 14 deals barring one were on a hosted basis. The Cruisenet solution fetched the supplier six credit union new name customers, while both Core Director and CIF 20/20 had one sale each. In all, 23 of the total deals for this

supplier were on a hosted basis. The IBS solution from FIS was the

second best selling product in the US domestic market, with 15 deals, all of them being to banks and on a licenced basis. This is a sharp increase from just six deals the year before. Closely following this is the Horizon product with 14 sales, a sharp decline from the 25 it had in 2014. Two of these were on a hosted basis, and the rest were on a licenced model. The syndicated lending product, ACBS with 13 deals, was also a hot selling product for the supplier. While Profile had three deals, BankPac, Mercury and Systematics products had two deals each. The other two deals were shared by the Miser and Treasury Management products respectively. The other key US domestic vendor,

D+H, clocked up seven back office related system deals, six of them for its PhoenixEFE product. Four of the seven deals were on a hosted basis. The supplier’s recent acquisition of Fundtech can be viewed as strategic and is expected to drive its growth in the payments sector significantly, both in the US market as well as globally. Interestingly, there were four US deals

by Misys FusionBanking Lending and one each for the same supplier’s Opics and Sophis products, indicating the adoption of international solutions in the US market. Infosys, SAP, TCS, and Temenos also had one deal each. Of course, these have not been covered as part of the US domestic SLT, and have been accounted for in the regular IBS Annual SLT.
