Who’s bought what? WHO? Jyske Bank WHAT? Vermilion Reporting Suite

Danish bank, Jyske Bank, has rolled out Vermilion’s Reporting solution and is now able to automate the production of client valuations, fund commentaries and PowerPoint presentations, at varying frequencies, for its entire client base. “Consistently focusing on how to efficiently add value to

our clients, Vermilion Reporting Suite enables us to improve our service to existing clients whilst decreasing our time to market for both regular and ad-hoc reporting cycles,” says Carsten

Larsen, Head of Client Service at Jyske Bank. “As an example of improved service, our commentary is now added through the workflow and only delivered to clients where the specific commentary section is relevant. Internally, the Vermilion project has streamlined our client bespoke processes, reduced our operational risk and increased the visibility of our reporting procedures.”

WHO? Techcombank WHAT? Misys Fusion Capital

Vietnam’s Techcombank has gone live with Misys FusionCapital. The project was completed within 10 months as the bank looks to transform its growing markets and treasury functions and increase its risk management capabilities.

Phan Thanh Son, Head of Financial

Markets, Techcombank, comments: “We operate in a market that demands agility. We are required to make decisions on capital allocation in a timely manner, and at the same time, follow strict risk management processes. We chose to work with Misys because their solution is a configurable, fast and cost-effective

analytics platform. This enables us to have the capability to improve our quality of product delivery to better serve our clients and counterparties and to make consid- ered judgements through accurate risk analysis. With productivity improvement in life cycle management of deals, we are able to secure large flow businesses.” He adds that the bank is now well

positioned for trading and to actively play a part in the development of the Vietnam Government Bonds market and Vietnam Dong denominated interest rate derivatives. The Ministry of Finance has announced that in 2016 it will encourage primary dealers to support pricing in sec-

ondary market liquidity and that it plans to lend to market makers which have a short position in bonds. “Our traders can now ac- cess their portfolios through FusionCapital and see all their positions in real-time, with better predictability in liquidity manage- ment of their portfolios,” he says.
