“POEMA DEL MAR” AQUARIUM This year the brand new Aquarium Poema del Mar will be welcoming its visitors at one of the biggest aquariums worldwide that will house several hundreds of different species of fish, birds, small mammals, amphibians and reptiles. Poema del Mar is being constructed on the island of Gran Canaria with the objective of becoming a referenced centre for the awareness and conservation of marine species from all over the world. The activities of the aquarium Poema del Mar will be closely coordinated with Loro Parque Fundación, a non-profit international organization with over 20 years’ experience in research, education and conservation efforts that has realized to-date over 120 conservation projects all over the world with total investment of over $17,000,000 designated for protection of endangered species of the animals in the wild.
