Yet again, Loro Parque surprises its guests by welcoming red pandas, adorable and charismatic animals who will reside in a brand new installation at Loro Parque, specifically designed so that it corres- ponds perfectly to their natural habitat. In the east, a red panda is often called “Firefox”, due to the fiery red and orange colors of its fur and many consider Red Panda to be the cutest animal in the world.
One of Loro Parque’s latest exhibitions is Animal Embassy, a flagship educational zone developed especially with a strong commitment to the defense of nature and the development of responsible tourism. This new and unique exhibit brings Loro Parque and Loro Parque Fundación together to share the results of more than 120 scientific projects completed internationally in the period of over 20 years with a total investment of 17 million U.S. dollars. The primary purpose of this labour is conservation of the endangered species and protection the natural habitats of the animals, as well as education and raising awareness to these important issues among the public. Among other success stories, Loro Parque Fundación has been able to save nine species of parrots from extinction, having improved the populations of many other ones in the wild.
