Ministers’ Summit tackles destination branding
As part of WTM London’s Ministers’ Programme, the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) works in partnership with WTM London to host the UNWTO & WTM Ministers’ Summit.
Destination branding is an ever-
growing complex challenge. Social media, new business models and the empowerment of consumers all around the world have changed the rules of the game. Destination management organisations revaluate their structures and marketing strategies to adapt to the new market trends. The 2015 UNWTO & WTM Ministers’ Summit will focus on the changes shaping tourism markets and how this impacts on destination branding, looking in particular into the following issues: destination brand in today’s globalized media landscape? branding and destination branding. consumers’ engagement in destination branding. crisis communication. destination marketing organizations and how to adapt to the new media landscape.
creative economy to destination branding: promoting and sharing experiences.
