The MMGY Tourism Cup Competition

Innovative competition for top industry leaders

Sponsored by ADARA, the MMGY Tourism Cup competition will match a team of European travel and tourism leaders against their American counterparts in a debate-style forum that will cover topics shaping today’s industry. Utilizing research, insights and case studies, the CEO and Executive Director of the European Travel Commission will captain a group that faces-off against a team led by the US Travel Association National Chair and CEO of

Travel Oregon as they compete in three entertaining rounds.

While the winning team will leave the stage with a travelling trophy, the real winners will be the beneficiaries of Just A Drop, an international water aid organization that provides clean, safe water to some of the poorest communities in over 30 countries worldwide. Audience engagement in this event and bonus rounds will contribute a donation to this valuable cause.

When: Tuesday 3 November 16:15-17:15 Where: WTM Global Stage AS850 Peter Yesawich, Vice Chairman, MMGY Global, will moderate this fun and insightful competition between European Team Captain, Eduardo Santandar, CEO and Executive Director, European Travel Commission, and US Team Captain, Todd Davidson, US Travel Association National Chair, CEO of Travel Oregon.

First industry-wide global LGBT Survey Travel Survey in co-operation with Out Now!

At WTM London 2015, ‘The Global LGBT Travel Industry Survey’ will be unveiled, which will measure the global tourism industry’s attitudes towards LGBT travel. By measuring a range of factors, WTM London and Out Now! hope to gain an insight into what is

driving the development of LGBT Travel. A destination’s legal situation was named as one of the major factors in deciding on travel plans – now that the US has legalized marriage equality, an influx of 1.3 million LGBT tourists is predicted to spend $4.35 billion in the next three years, demonstrating that LGBT travel is economic as well as social. The survey is available at www.welcome.LGBT Come along

to the LGBT Tourism Unlocked: LGBT Masterclass on Wednesday 4 November, 10:30-12:00, South Gallery 21&22.
