The FA Licensed Coaches Club Coaching Awards are back for a second year.

The prestigious awards evening will be held in December at St. George’s Park, The FA’s national football centre, and will celebrate the achievements, dedication and expertise of coaches working to develop the next generation of young English players.

The evening will focus on 13 new awards reflecting the diversity and quality of English coaching across the grassroots, elite, women’s and disability levels of the game.

Nominations will open on 1 August and will run through to 30 September with further details on how to nominate a coach available on The FA Licensed Coaches' Club website in the near future.

For FA Licensed Coaches’ Club manager, Lisa Hollis, the awards are a perfect way of shining a spotlight on the tremendous coaching work undertaken to support the health of English football.

She said: “Each year we support thousands of coaches up and down the country who dedicate themselves to coaching our nation’s young players, so we are fully aware of the extraordinary levels of commitment and quality of work that is going in every week by our coaches.

“We want to make sure that their work is recognised and so The FA Licensed Coaches’ Club Coaching Awards are our way of searching out the very best and rewarding their commitment to helping us improve the standards of football in this country.”

This year’s awards will also see more names inducted into The FA Licensed Coaches’ Club Hall of Fame, launched last year with seven key coaching figures becoming the first to be honoured. They included Dario Gradi MBE, Don Howe, Hope Powell CBE, Jimmy Armfield CBE, Howard Wilkinson, Dick Bate, Robin Russell and Charles Hughes.

The Hall of Fame inductees were chosen not only for the impact they have had at the elite end of the sport, but for their outstanding contribution to coaching and coach education which has helped shape English football.
